Elsie Theresa Pellerin
1918-2010
Elsie Theresa Pellerin, age 92, of Amherst, passed away
peacefully at the GablesLodge, Amherst, NS on Thursday, July 22,
2010.
Born in Sackville, NB, she was a daughter
of the late Layton and Martha (Estabrooks) Stokes.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish Church and a former member
of the prayer group. She was a member of the I.O.G.T. Lodge
and the Golden Years Society.
She will be sadly
missed by sons Henry (Joan) and Wilfred (Phyllis), all of Amherst,10
grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren;
foster-daughters Virginia, Shirley, and Brenda, half-sister Barbara
Merritt, half-brother Clarence Stokes, and niece Erma LeBlanc.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry, and
siblings, Charles, Carl, Harry, Joseph, Clarence, Alberta and
Zelpha.
Funeral Arrangements have been
entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst,
NS (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will take place on Friday from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from
the Holy Family Parish Church, Amherst on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at
10 am, Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Burial will take
place in the St. Charles Nativity Cemetery.
