Carson Aubrey Jones

Carson Aubrey Jones, the son of the late Harold and Marion (Simmons) Jones, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.  

Carson enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and being outdoors.  He was an avid pool player Monday and Wednesday nights and was a skilled Crib player.

Carson will be greatly missed by his wife of thirty-eight years, Nancy (Atkinson) Jones; his daughters, Marlene and Crystal (Derek) MacIntosh; his son, Jason; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter; a sister, Claire Mabey; brothers, Robert (Ruth), Walter (Pat), Charlie (Cheryl), Larry, Raymond, and Earl (Jen), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Carson is predeceased by his sister, Joyce Cormier, and brothers, Jimmy, Little Harold, and Johnny.

A special thank you is extended to Palliative Care and Dr. Short of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, as well as the doctors and nurses of the George Dumont Hospital, 4th Floor Units, D&E, and especially the VON for all of their support, as well as Victoria's Quilts Canada.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777) from where a time of visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 6-8 pm.  A graveside service will be held at the Amherst Cemetery on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made  to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Council for the Blind or a charity of choice.
